Is there anyone as of yet thinking of going to the Pow Wow? I am not sure where to go for info. I am not sure of hotels. I heard that some signed up for the Charleston. I understand it is full already. Thanks

So what does everyone think about what they are charging for the Pow wow. Seems pretty steep for smores and hot dogs. I guess there is not a special hotel either. So I guess there won't be any deals there either.

I have been there once. I would recommend Harrah's Cherokee Casino & Hotel but they seem to be already filled up that weekend. It is downtown if you need some break from driving.

I have emailed them to find out what the events for this will be. I now Hallett was $150.00 per person driving, which wasn't bad for what you recieved. It seems expensive for a passenger to have to pay $100.00 also for just riding. I will let you know what I find out

I guess they think the tshirt, lanyard/nametag, hot dog/Smore's and BBQ are worth $100. Maybe they are. We had wanted to do the Charleston event but it was rather pricey also. I guess it didn't matter since it filled up quickly.

I have to agree with you. I got alot more at Hallett for alot less. I think they are just doing this for there benefit. I don't think they car if they are Miata's or not. I was thinking about having a cookout at the house with hot dogs and smores. If I give out tshirts would you all pay oh maybe $50.00 HaHa.I guess they dont relise it they charged $20.00 We would probably go and spend the rest among there stores and Hotels

The Miata event committee is meeting tomorrow morning to
go over issues we are facing. We have had some concerns with the cost being too high.

But the costs are real costs, so we are looking to do
less organized events (dinners, bands, convention center rental, etc.)
and lowering the cost.

I will get information out tomorrow afternoon. Do you have a list of
emails for me to send updates?

By the way, please voice your options before tomorrow's
meeting.

Thank you,

Darlene Waycaster

I got some new info on the PowWow. They lowered from $100.00 to $10.00. I am not sure what they gave up, but sounds much more inviting.
Might want to go to the website and see if any one is interested now. I believe we will be going now. They seem to have made arrangements with some hotels now too. http://www.cherokeesmokies.com/Miata%20Pow%20Wow%20Registration.pdf I believe this will get you to the web site.

We have decided to attend the Pow Wow. We made reservations at these nice little cabins www.sunsetfarmcabins.com. they are located right by the casino.I have talked to the Raffertys and they are also attending. I was just wondering if anyone else are planning on attending. Maybe we can plan times and dates. Doug
